Health Declines in Kansas

The Federal Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality relased their annual report that identifies areas of health care delivery that needs quality improvement.

In 7 out of 12 areas there has been a decline in the quality of health care as compared to the baseline. The State Snapshots Web tool also tracks states’ progress toward reaching government-set health goals for 2010.

The report indicates the challenges we face in Kansas to improve the quality of health care. Although there has been improvement in some areas, this report highlights the ongoing need for health reform in Kansas.
